Summary
Sometimes, all it took was a single smile for Matt to fool her.
     But she knew better.
Notes
Whoa, my first Ace Attorney fan fiction.
Anyway, everyone who knows me at least a little bit also knows that I
might be slightly obsessed with the last case from Justice for All.
     Just a bit. Nothing serious.
One thing that always struck as odd to me was how Adrian described
Celeste as if she were some kind of angel first, and martyr later.
Considering how much she adored her and how much dependent she was on
her, I've always considered Adrian to be an unreliable witness, but
never actually had any proof, until one day I was doing research for
some other writing of mine and came across the Wiki article on
codependency. I actually found some interesting info about
narcissists being like natural magnet for codependents.
     Bingo!
So, this is my personal view of what Celeste might have been like,
especially while she was in a relationship with Matt. As always, any
     feedback is appreciated!
     Enjoy <3
As soon as the door was locked behind her, Celeste Inpax threw her high heeled
pumps across the hotel room. Once again she was the same five point two feet
tall imp she had always been, just cladded in a black silk dress that most
people couldn’t hope to afford in a lifetime.
Her lack of height didn’t however seem to faze her client but totally-not-
boyfriend who was at the moment approaching the liquor cabinet.
«What did I tell you about drinking too much?»
He put the bottle of brandy on the coffee table and closed the cabinet door
with a graceful movement of his hips «I don’t remember, because I wasn’t
listening at all.» Matt smirked, as if he thought her question was stupid. He
probably did, but she was past the point of caring anyway. She’d had enough of
other people’s shit for that night.
«Fetch one of those big glasses for me, too, would you?»
«First you act like a kindergarten teacher and then you’ve got no problem in
drinking with a minor? Dude, you never cease to amaze me.»
«Give me a break, psycho.» Celeste massaged her temples. In her head still
lingered  the annoying roar of the relentless crowd, and behind her eyelids she
could still see bright colors and glitter. A multitude of different faces of
different value, all to be remembered because their money could come in handy
sooner or later.
Matt had it easy.
He just had to smile, look light headed but not too much and spit out some
nonsense. People would fall head over heels for his dumb persona, older
businesswomen and young actresses alike, plus a fair amount of ugly but filthy
rich male producers.
And then, amidst all that, there was her, Mr Engarde’s manager, who spent the
whole evening party running from one important person to the other, chatting,
smiling, putting up with more bullshit in four hours than every other human
being in a lifetime. She tried to persuade that one director or that other
screenwriter that the retarded bimbo boy was the actor they needed for their
next masterpiece, and got some auditions scheduled up on top of that.
And she didn’t eat or drink a thing while everyone else stuffed their mouths
full of all the deliciousness the Gatweater Hotel had prepared for the
occasion.
«And besides-»
For how long has he been sputtering words?
«I deserve a prize. I’ve been a good boy and I didn’t drink a drop of alcohol
throughout the whole evening. Just orange juice and Diet Coke. Unlike that
Corrida guy. Dude, it looked like he never tasted a good wine in his life.»
«Yes, yes. Whatever you say.» she didn’t need him to start blabbering again
about his new favorite pastime.
He sat on the couch in front of the coffee table, and poured a generous amount
of brandy in each snifter «And I guess you deserve it, too, Celeste.»
«If you say so...» she pretended to be unimpressed, but had to hide a smile
«It’s nice to see you appreciate what I do for you.»
«Aren’t you afraid the kid’s gonna wake up?» he asked, as she sat on his lap
and crossed her legs.
«The kid is two years older than you, Matt.»
«Not in the brain.»
She suppressed a laugh «Adrian will wake up tomorrow morning with a bad
headache and will sleep in.»
«So she wasn’t really sick, I assume.»
«I couldn’t risk her ruining everything, could I?»
Adrian with her stuttering voice and her unstable feet, who could not move a
step forward in a pair of heels one inch high without collapsing on the floor
and ripping her dress up in the process. Adrian who worshipped her and would
happily chew her own tongue and swallow it if she knew that was what Celeste
wanted from her. Too bad her adoration often came in the way of making a good
impression on the right people, Adrian could have been useful to lift her
spirit a bit while she was busy being Matt’s smart shadow.
«I guess you’re right.» Matt stretched her arm towards the coffee table, but
Celeste grabbed his wrist and squeezed it.
«You guess?»
«Okay, okay. You’re right.»
She smirked and tapped the glass with her fingertips «Good boy. Looks like you
really deserve your drink.»
He glanced at the table «So… Let go of my wrist, dude?»
With a smooth movement of both her hips and legs, Celeste switched position and
was now facing him, his legs trapped between her own.
«What about no.»
«This is one of those times, Celeste?» Matt sounded amused «Not that I’m
complaining, you know.»
Celeste pretended to slap his face, but then her violence turned into a gentle
caress on his right cheek. She put her thumb under his chin and forced him to
look at her eyes and not at her cleavage.
Every inch of that perfect skin, thin lips and chestnut hair was a weapon.
Sometimes even she forgot the snake hiding beneath those dreamy eyes of his,
and all it took for Matt was a single smile to fool her for a moment
But she knew better.
«I guess it is.» Celeste lulled the snifter back and forth «So, do you still
want your drink or not?»
Beneath her, she felt Matt’s body relaxing, his stretched arm now dutifully
laid on the armrest.
«If that’s what you desire.» he smirked.
You handsome devil.
«What do good boys say, when they want their drink?»
«Thank you for not leaving me jobless and homeless and doing all the work while
I was super busy not giving a fuck.»
«Close enough.»
The rim of the glass gently touched Matt’s lower lip, and he lifted his head,
eager, but Celeste had no intention of letting even a drop slip.
«Thank you. And? What else?»
«Thak you dude and… please, maybe?» he mocked her.
She pinched his cheek «Mind your tone.»
Matt’s eyes widened, his lips opened slightly. His eyebrows turned his usual
taunting smile into the innocent grin of a little boy. He’d seamlessly
transitioned to his spotlight self.
«Please, Celeste.»
She curled a lock of his hair around her finger and pulled. She didn’t mind
hurting him a bit when he was like that «Please what?»
«Let me drink. If you wish to. Please.»
And critics still wondered if his acting skills were great or just above
average
«I might.»
Celeste tilted the glass until a sip or two of brandy flowed between his lips.
A drop escaped and left a wet trail on his cheek. She catched it and then
touched Matt’s lower lip with her fingertip. The tip of his tongue brushed
against it, so lightly that she barely noticed it.
«Do you want some more?»
He nodded, looking as needy as ever. The more he kept on acting, the more she
wanted to hurt him.
She took a sip for herself and panic immediately showed up in his eyes, even
though there was another snifter on the coffee table and the bottle was still
half full. She smirked, and let the brandy burn its way through her throat.
«Do you deserve it?»
Matt lifted his hand from the armrest and placed it on her back. He stroked her
uncovered skin with his fingertips. Celeste suppressed a shiver.
«Did I tell you that you look stunning, tonight? I couldn’t keep my eyes off
you.»
By now, she wasn’t sure if what he wanted was merely to get filthy drunk on
brandy. An elegant suit wasn’t the best clothing choice to hide a boner.
«You’re just so compliant, when it comes to stuff you desperately want, don’t
you?» she taunted him, sincerely amused.
«I’m just telling the truth.»
«Like I believe you.»
Before he could reply she kissed him. Matt licked her still moist lips, and
Celeste’s teeth bit into his flesh. His breath smelled of alcohol.
«Do you want another sip?»
His grip on her hips became firmer «If you say so, my dear.» he whispered.
She spread her legs some more and lowered her body so that she was now brushing
against the fabric of his pants.
«I’ll have to. You’ve been good so far, and I don’t like being unjust...»
She poured the rest of the brandy from the snifter to her cupped hand, then
placed the glass back on the coffee table  «Here.» she moved her hand closer to
his face «All for you.»
«You’re so merciful, my queen.»
«Don’t test my sarcasm tolerance, Matt.»
He didn’t reply. Instead, he showed off his best puppy eyes and looked streight
into her pupils. He didn’t break eye contact even for a second, while his
tongue swirled around her fingers and tickled her skin. He didn’t lap like a
thirsty animal, as she expected. It was entirely too clear what kind of message
he was sending her, as he took his sweet time licking her hands clean and then
went on sucking each one of her fingers.
Sometimes, he was an open book, a polished red cover on the outside concealing
the rotten pages inside, now spread out for her to read and enjoy. He was a
man, after all, and men could be extremely instinctive beings, especially when
resisting the urge to jump on top of her and rip her dress to shreds.
Celeste freed her hand. It was wet and sticky.
«I won’t even need to take a shower, tonight. You’ve been a very impressive
soap.»
«I suppose you should thank me somehow, shouldn’t you?»
«Maybe.»
She unzipped his pants and let her fingers slide on his whole lenght.
«Just maybe?» he was struggling to stay still.
«How do you ask for it?»
«...please?»
She slapped him, gentlier than she expected «Not quite.»
He bit his lip «I want to be inside you, Celeste. Please.»
«That’s better.»
Guiding him with one hand, Celeste let him slip inside her.
She snickered.
Look at you, fucking a boy who just merely turned sixteen. Where are your
morals, Celeste?
«What’s the matter, dude?» Matt lifted up her skirt and stroked her thigh
She pinched his cheek «Nothing that could hurt your pride, dude.»
He didn’t look satisfied about her answer, but she did not leave him time to
think further and started to move, up and down. She followed whatever rhythm
was most pleasurable to her body, which could be as fast as her legs allowed
and then, just a moment later, almost unbearably slow.
Locks of her hair fell down from the intricate chignon she had trapped them in,
straight onto Matt’s face. She tucked them behind her ears so she could see him
better, his teeth biting his lower lip, his eyelids almost closed. Celeste
caressed the bright red of his cheeks, and softly kissed him. He still tasted
like brandy.
The orgasm caught her right then and there. She stopped moving, breathless, her
legs shaking from exhaustion. All of a sudden, the room turned unbearably hot.
Matt’s still clothed body turned unbearably hot.
With a sigh, Celeste used his shoulders as support to stand up. She was
immensely grateful to her past self for being so kind and taking off her shoes
before everything began.
«Dude, what the fuck?»
Celeste did not bother covering her mouth and laughed. He really looked like a
child, now. A child whose candy had been taken away by none other that his own
mother.
«Dude, don’t you see? I need a shower. And it’s already late. I’ve got work
tomorrow, you know?» unlike you was what she left unsaid, but she was confident
he’d understand.
«You can’t leave me like this?»
«Like what? Pitiful? Pathetic? Needy?»
«Whatever, dude, just finish me off, unless...»
«Unless what? What are you going to do? Kill me? Ask Adrian for some comfort?»
He looked confused «...whatever! Just do it!»
A grin spreaded across Celeste’s face «No.» and she walked towards the
bathroom.
No, not a shower. A bath. A long, long bath with lots of foam and bath salts.
And then, who knew, she could show the boy some mercy.
